Why are Ariba & OB10 stacking fees on your backs?
Tradeshift is unwilling to witness or permit any supplier fees at anytime. Meanwhile Ariba is charging up to $20,000 (per connection) to connect to buyers and charging suppliers a percentage of the invoice. You should not pay the price nor bear the burden of Ariba and OB10 not delivering on promises made to buyers, and in turn, making up for losses by strapping inflated fees on your back.
Ariba’s boilerplate response to suppliers states the ability of the network to reduce DSOs by reduction of paper, automatic validation and PO-invoicing, and visibility into customer process as an excuse for creating fees anywhere and everywhere they can.
What is that about? These are paper-thin benefits, the food-wrapping of the e-invoicing industry. In your guts, you know this is nuts.
You probably already know OB10 charges a fee just to join the network and then takes another fee for each transaction. But, did you know OB10 is now heavily discounting renewal deals for disgruntled buyers in order to continue nickel and diming suppliers? Now, that’s just sad.
